Love has long been a question..

Have you ever felt that whatever you do is not going right? What about the times when you just felt totally awesome and great and when everything just seem to fit in so easily? I always wonder at the amazing emotions that we all go through. What is it that makes us feel this way? I don't know. But it is affecting how we do every single day of our lives. In raising this awareness, i would choose to feel great than to feel sick or sad or bored or tired or disgusted or lost. I would choose to feel happy, excited, purposeful, energetic, healthy.. i would choose to feel in love.

But much of how we feel is sometimes uncontrollable. Wait, how much of what we feel is uncontrollable? Is that correct? We are wielded by our circumstances? No thats not what i learnt growing up, we are the masters of our fate. If so what is it that allows us to control our emotions?

I'm privilaged to be in University at this age, i get to learn so many things so early... One of my professors, James Csipak gave me the answer to this. In order to feel the way you want to feel, you have to do the things you want to do. He noted that Joseph Campbell once said this: "Follow Your Bliss". It didn't really get to me until a few days of thinking about it. What this means to me is that you don't live your life pleasing everybody. Start living your life the way you want it to be. Do the things you want to do and enjoy them. Because doing the things you truely want to do will make you feel the way you want to feel.

If there something you've been wanting to do for many years, go do it. If you have someone you really love but never got a chance to tell him or her tell them. If you have something that you really want but never went to get them, start working on getting them. In this way, you'll not only be able to feel the way you want to but also you'll be doing your best in what you do....

Follow your bliss...
